Do you or did you read books in foreign languages ?

I wondering if some of you had already read books in english or in an other language ?

I do.

I already read 4 books in english. the three first Harry Potter books and a books for the english class : The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society ! Very Happy

I read nearly all my fantasy in english!

I lived in england for 2 years whan I was 9 and 10 years old, and the shelves at the back of the classroom had books like the Chronicles on Narnia, His Dark Materians (Pullman) and the Diana Wynne Jones books.

I've been a fan of fantasy ever since Smile

I buy my books from Amazon, I get them as cheap as if I were in Engand, and before they are translated in french.

When I was 14, though, I was mad enough to try reading The Silmarillion in english... Well, that was hard, but I made it!

I'm going to read the Harry Potter in English, I read that they are note too hard (and I read them in French) ^^

Harry Potter is what I tel my friends to start with, especcialy the first book : most people know the story and have the book in french if it's too hard. The language is quite easy because the book is for children, but the story is interesting enough for everyone.

In September, I'm gonna start my first year at the university, and I will study English culture and literature, so I'm gonna have to read a lot of books in English ! Very Happy

I'll receive Pride & Prejudice, in a few days ! Very Happy

So maybe I'll read it in a few times, not now, I've a lot of books (in French) to read...

I read some novels in English for my literatur lesson, plus Othello by Shakespeare. It was a little bit difficult, so I read it in French first (when I realised that I didn't have enough time to read everything in English) '^^

Otherwise, I have twelve books and eighteen poems to read and analyse in German (the exam is in June)... I'm not sure I will suceed in reading all of these T.T (and I have one more book for another lesson)
